Well... in the American continent everywhere you go, you have a long way to go. Travelling from Anchorage to Denali National Park with a stopover in Talkeetna is a driving through scenic landscapes (mainly Arctic tundra), on your way to a view of mount McKinley. Well, at least that was the idea! The weather didn't really help and the only view we saw of McKinley was the one on postcards!
Then you have the Kenai peninsula. The drive from Anchorage to Seward (204km) is an easy drive with a terrain different from that up north. Mountains, lakes, gorges, glaciers... And when you get on a boat to visit the glaciers in Resurrection bay...
